Callum Cussen
Hiya, I’m a Lead UX Designer for Shift7, a Merkle Company. I’m a Keen Listener and enjoy understanding the problems people are facing in their lives. I use design thinking to solve problems and create innovative digital solutions that are intuitive, useful, and accessible. I’m passionate about creating a positive impact for people and businesses.
I’m currently working with AARP focused on social impact issue areas that include family caregiving, money, and work & jobs. I lead design and research for projects, provide guidance on accessibility, help shape the AARP design system and build consistency across experiences and products.
I am originally from the UK and am now based in Maryland, where I enjoy cycling and documenting trails. My goal is to provide people with a point of view down the trail using my YouTube channel.
I’m constantly looking to learn new skills and improve my knowledge to create inclusive and accessible experiences. I’m currently studying to become a CPACC Accessibility Specialist.
As a lead UX designer, I enjoy mentoring designers and provide them with guidance and support. I also volunteer as an ADPList Mentor. I have always found value from my mentors throughout my career and I feel it builds a strong and collaborative team when knowledge Is shared.
